Vision/Mission/Function (500-word Max): 

          Samagra Shiksha scheme was envisaged to treat education holistically without segmentation by merging the Centrally sponsored Schemes of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Rashtrya Madhyamic Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and Teacher Education (TE). Accordingly, the scheme has been developed and launched to form an integrated scheme on School Education Samagra Shiksha from Pre School to Senior Secondary Schools of the State.

          The vision of the scheme is to ensure inclusive and equitable quality from Pre School to Senior Secondary stage by 2030 in accordance with sustainable development goals for education. The Scheme is also to universalize quality school education and universalizing access to school education from classes Pre School to Senior Secondary School (Class XII).

          The main objectives of the mission are provision of quality education and enhancing learning outcomes of students, bridging social and Gender Gaps, promoting Vocationalization of education and implementation of Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009 and ensuring equity and inclusion at all levels of School Education.

          Annual Work Plan and Budget (AWP&B) is prepared every year by following guidelines of the scheme and instruction given from the State Project Office. The District Project Coordinator is responsible for preparation of the Plan in their respective District or functional area. The District Plan was prepared on intervention wise basis. The main interventions are mentioned below:-

  1. RTE Entitlement (Free Textbooks, Free Uniforms, Out of School Children (OoSC), Media and Community Mobilization
  2. Composite School Grant, Maintenance Grant, Libraries.
  3. Residential Schools / Hostels, Transport & Escort Facilities
  4. Inclusive Education 
  5. Vocational Education 
  6. Teachers Education 
  7. Gender & Equity
  8. Teachers Salary etc.

In order to achieved various goals of the Scheme and to strengthen the District Project Office, District has two (2) Block Resource Centre in Saitual and Ngopa and eleven (11) Cluster Resource Centre under its jurisdiction. They are the backbone of the mission.

The intervention wise fund received from the State Project Office was sanctioned accordingly by the District Project Office.
